I do NOT like doing Father's Day cards. Man cards are too hard for me. You can't 'pretty them up' like you can female cards. Oh well. I had some friends that 'forced' me to do some. So, these are a couple I've done. I did some others, but for some reason my pics didn't turn out well. So, I'll just share these two. The "D" card has some washers on it that I inked up with alcohol inks and then I attached them to some silver metal. I added a little charm on the twine that I made using shrink plastic. The owl is a digital image from Cocoa Studio found at Mygrafico online. I printed it, colored it and cut it out and then pop dotted it. The black diamonds are black alphabet tiles that I just turned upside down. The sentiment says..."Owl always love you Poppy" (computer generated).
I didn't get to participate at 365Cards today, but I'll catch up. I don't want to miss out on a chance to win the Cosmo Cricket prize at the end of the week! Thanks for stopping by today and if you have any Father's Day cards to make, I'll pray for you :)

Great cards Diana, what is it with making guy cards that we all seem to dislike so much? Anyway i think you've done a fantastic job on these two. I adore that owl image!

No need to pray for me...I'm already done with my dad projects! ;) I think your cards look great!
Please pray for me...LOL! You're silly! I think they're great! I really like the washer idea!
I don't think you are alone in the "I have a hard time with masculine cards" club. I'm right there with you. If it doesn't have lace or flowers, I'm lost...lol
You really did a fantastic job on both of these creations, so I think you have overcome your block!
You did a great job on these cards!! And I think I've told you before...my dad STILL has his Father's Day card you made (the one with the monkeys). It's on the fridge, and he still talks about how much he loves it. :)
i am lucky, my dad LOVES flowers and has the most beautiful gardens, both flower and vegetable. I can make him a flowery card. YAY!!! He also loves anything with a bible verse. How easy is that? I know what you mean about man cards though. UGH!!! They are tough.
The cards you made look great though!!!
I bought my dad sapphire roses on his 70th birthday (8 years ago) and he cried. No one had ever bought him flowers before. He is a real manly ex lumber jack too! LOL.
love love!!!I like the way you put these together. They turned out cute. Haven't done mine yet...
