Laura's Sketch #20 - Inspire

This week Laura has given us another great sketch. I am so inspired by Laura, Kazan, the DT and all of the crafters who participate at 2S4U. So, this week, my card design includes a definition of Inspire. I've used BasicGrey pp and embellies, a little lace and ribbon from my stash, a little ink and some rub-ons. If you've never checked out 2Sketches4U, you should really go on over and be INSPIRED! And let me just tell you that this week - hang on to your hats because the DT has given us some definite eye candy! Thanks for stopping by!

Pink Petticoat

I found this website yesterday and OMG!!! I love this place!! You purchase and download images that you can color, glitter, leave black/white or whatever you want to do with them. I spent $20.00 and got a TON of images!! Go here and check it out:

http://www.pinkpetticoat.co.uk/index.php. This is a card I made with one of the images. (click on it and you can see it larger). The sentiment is part of the image also. I just used that fab Martha Stewart glue pen and fine glitter to dress it up a bit, added some ribbon, flowers, button, twine and done! Isn't she cute?
You really do need to check them out. TFL!!

Card Box - 365 cards

Ok, the first challenge over at 365 Cards is to make a card box. I used my Mini Monograms Cricut cart to cut the scalloped circles. Then I used a little flower punch to dress them up a little. I can't wait to fill up this box! Go check out 365 Cards (http://365cards.blogspot.com/) to see other boxes that have been made. One of the new DT members, Vicky, has made a really cool box! TFL!

1st Birthday Party!

Well, we've just arrived back home from Merrill's first birthday party and let me say it was too fun! My sister did such a creative job of decorating for the party (including making the invites, all the decorations AND CD's for us to all take home!). And she says she's not creative - whatever. So, I wanted to share a couple of pics from the party. Merrill is too cute and she had a great time today. And she LOVED her cake!! Oh, and she got a little shopping cart with some "fake" food. I think the bologna was her favorite. Check out the pics. Happy Birthday again, little one. I love you....Sissie.

Happy Birthday, Merrill!!

So, this past Wednesday was my niece, Merrill's, birthday. She turned 1 year old!! Yes, she and Maggie were born just 6 days apart. I know they will be the bestest friends as they grow up. So anyway, tomorrow is Merrill's big birthday party. I'm so excited!! I got her lots of goodies and I can't wait to spend the day with her. This picture was taken a couple of weekends ago at Maggie's birthday party and I just love it! (Click on it to get a closer look).
THOSE EYES!!!! Oh my gosh, they are beautiful!
So, this is the birthday card I made for her. I decided to make it based on the challenge over at Bitten by the Bug. I'm using the letter B from Alphalicous. I cut it at 4 inches (short stack) and then did the shadow also. I cut the dragonfly from Doodlecharms cut at 2 1/2". I cut it out in pink and then in vellum. I decorated the vellum with some stickles and beads and layered it on top of the pink. (The glue is hidden in the center under the beads so you don't see it - shh!). The pp is My Mind's Eye, "Sweetness". (Well, of course I HAD to use this on Merrill's card!). Be sure to check out all the DT creations over at BBTB, as they are just so AUsome!! (Link is on the right side of my blog). So, TFL and Happy Birthday, Merrill. I love you very, very much!!

Kazan's Sketch #20

So, Kazan at 2S4U has offered us another wonderful sketch this week! I am loving using my new BG papers, so I just HAD to use some on this card. The pp is BG "Eva" and the chipboard accents are as well. I used a rub-on, lace trim and ribbon from my stash and those wonderful silver beads are Bazill. Thanks Kazan for another great sketch! TFL!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAGGIE!!

So, today is Maggie's 1st birthday. She's been making cupcakes with her mom today in anticipation of her party tonight. I remember one year ago today driving to Georgia, VERY early that morning to see Maggie arrive into this huge world. She is such a gift from Heaven. Maggie is a joy to every person that passes her way and I am totally blessed to be her Grammy. Happy Birthday angel.

Love, Grammy

Eye Candy for Blog Candy

So, over at 2S4u this week, they are giving away Blog Candy for "Eye Candy". You are to post an eye candy photo on your blog and link it back to 2S4U. So, of course, my eye candy HAS to be my beautiful granddaughter, Maggie. I cannot get enough of her! Her birthday is this week and I can't believe it. Seems like just yesterday I got up at 3:00 a.m. to drive 4 hours for her "birth" day. So, enjoy! (and head on over to 2S4U and check out this week's AMAZING creations by the DT!).

Maggie's Birthday party!

Just had to share about the party we had for Maggie's 1st birthday! Pops and I were so excited to give Maggie a party and invite all of our family and friends. Needless to say, she LOVED her cake! She got lots of presents and had a great time. But, today is sad for us as Maggie had to travel back home. We will miss her so much, as usual. Love you Mags! (You can click on the pic and see it larger). TFL!

2Sketches4U - Kazan's Sketch #19

So, this is the card I've made for Maggie's 1st Birthday. (Shhhhhh!). Her birthday isn't until Feb 12th, but I'm having a party for her at my house tomorrow. I'm so excited!! Maggie lives in another state so I'm so happy to be able to spend part of her very 1st birthday with her. Being a Grammy is just so awesome! I could just EAT HER UP! Anyhoo, I used Paper Studio pp, a chipboard border from Laundry Line (picked up at my lss Scrap, Etc)a little ribbon, a button and some twine. I cut the #1 from my Alphalicious cricut cart using the short stack shadow feature. So, I'm off to finish preparing for the party. Have a great weekend!!

I've been TAGGED!!

So, the tag is for me to go where I store my photos on my computer (mine are all on Picasa on this computer), pick the 6th folder, pick the 6th picture, then post it on my blog and tell about it. That's easy enough! So, this is a picture of my niece, Merrill, that was taken this past Christmas. She is wearing a dress that was my sister's (her mom's) when she was little. It's a beautiful, green velvet dress and Merrill looks just as pretty in it as her mom did! Merrill is such a little monkey and she loves (as all 11 month old kids do) putting things in her mouth. I think she has my mom's bracelet in her mouth. Anyway, great pic and I love her very, very much!!

Now, I'm gonna tag 3 other bloggers:
Have fun!
